Well it seems that there are quite a few of you out there who do read my blog. The reason I know is because wherever I’ve been recently I’m reminded that I haven’t been blogging!  What can I say?  No excuses but I’ve been really busy.  So that’s nothing new and I have managed to get a bit further afield this year doing classes and workshops all over the country. (I’ve been as far as Devon and  Kendal.  I haven’t managed Scotland, Cornwall or Wales this year – but who knows what next year will bring.)

On that note I intend to do more workshops around the country next year.  I’m even trying to fit in one or two more this year but it’s getting a bit late and Christmas looms! (Only 9 weekends left before Christmas – Don’t panic folks – and I’m working 5 of them already!)  I’m organising a workshop in Cheshire at the moment with help from Jo Rice, one of our Design Team, who has managed to find a suitable hall near her – I’ll post the details soon.

If you are interested in workshops next year let me know (any-which-way! –  email or leave a message in the comment box) and we’ll keep your name on record.  This will mean we can see where there is interest and then let you know if we are organising something in that area.

Next year I hope to stay on for an extra day, or so, in some of the beautiful areas of our country rather than just for a days workshop.  I haven’t really managed a holiday this year.  Everyone else managed holidays –  some more exotic than others.  Chris went to Italy, Becki to Thailand, Peter travelled here, there and everywhere for 8 months and little old me managed 4 days off and one of those was a bank holiday!   Ahh – Do you feel sorry for me. Votes of sympathy please.

Glitterpot Class

I did manage to visit my very good friends in Dorset for most of this last weekend. Not only was it lovely to see them but I was thoroughly spoilt – not allowed to lift a finger, and had all my favourite meals cooked for me. I wonder if they would consider me moving in permanently!  I drove down after finishing classes at The Glitter Pot on Friday and stayed until Sunday afternoon before travelling onto Exmouth  for a workshop on Monday at Japonica.  The workshop was great fun and everyone enjoyed the day – myself included.

Since I last did a proper post (Yes I know it was so long ago!) Georgina Sweetenham has joined our Design Team.  Many of you may have already seen her beautiful cards which we’ve been putting on facebook and the blog.

Alex Kamann,  another Design Team member, has had her TV screen test and will be on Create and Craft soon.  I’ll let you know when she has her debut date.

I’m really pleased and excited to say that Franka Benjaminsen has now joined our Design Team.  We met at the stamping show at Alexandra Palace and when she showed me some cards (pictured here)  you will  see why I was thrilled when she agreed to join our very talented team!

Christmas Workshop – Book Here

Before I go there’s a couple of things I want to tell you.  Firstly, two ladies can’t make our Christmas Workshop this Saturday so these spaces are now available.  It will be a great day with food, drink, goody bag and lots of projects.  Last one we did we had 26 ladies and 22 of them immediately rebooked – so, it’s well worth it if you can fit it in.

Secondly we have a Christmas Card Competition on until the 1st November (with Ist, 2nd and 3rd prize of course) so there’s still time to get stamping and get your entries in.  email entries to: hobbyartstamps@fsmail.net.  The challenge is to make a Christmas card using any Hobby Art stamps – apart from that it’s up to you regarding size, colour etc.  Cards are already coming in but I I’m looking forward to seeing lots more!

Right that’s all folks – I’m now off to finish all the goody bags, for the Christmas workshop, and hopefully make another card or two.
